In this blog series, we unveil exclusive data collected from legal professionals, shedding light on the current state of the legal landscape and setting the stage for our upcoming posts.

As the legal industry continues to change, understanding the challenges and opportunities ahead is imperative to succeed. Our survey findings offer a comprehensive overview of key trends and insights, providing valuable perspective for legal professionals.

In 2024, various factors are shaping the landscape which has resulted in many employees leaving their positions between the 2-4 and 4-5 year marks. In this series we explore why this might be and why this might be and what firms can do to remedy this situation.

We will also address burnout in Canadian firms that are now reaching critical levels. Our studies indicate that 50% of legal professionals are concerned. High caseloads, demanding deadlines, the adversarial nature of the field may contribute to the burnout many legal professionals are now feeling. In response, we will examine how firms can create environments that combat burnout and support a healthy work-life balance.

Mastering legal technology is another critical theme for law firms in 2024. Effective use of legal tech is more important now than ever. Discover how firms can maximize returns from these investments, while enhancing both employee performance and retention.

Our Trends and Challenges Survey revealed that 75% of legal professionals continue to work remotely. However, a growing majority are permanently bringing employees back into the workplace. What is bringing them back? What complications are these firms facing? We will explore how remote work has evolved since 2022 and the key factors that make it successful.
