Celebrating Legal Administrative Professionals' Day!

About the Outstanding Legal Administrative Professional Award

Every law firm relies on a team of dedicated professionals who work behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. Legal administrative professionals are the backbone of these operations, managing schedules, coordinating documents, and keeping firms efficient. In honor of Administrative Professionals' Day, Tracument set out to spotlight these invaluable team members with our Outstanding Legal Administrative Professional Award.

This initiative was born out of a desire to celebrate the individuals whose dedication often goes unrecognized. Their meticulous attention to detail and ability to keep things running seamlessly deserve recognition—not just today, but every day.

Appreciating Legal Administrative Professionals

We were truly moved by the overwhelming response from law firms across Canada. The outpouring of nominations was a testament to the deep appreciation colleagues have for their administrative teams. Each nomination told a story of hard work, resilience, and commitment.

While selecting just one winner was a challenge, we're thrilled to congratulate Luxana Kirubaharan—a superhuman tech and administrative wizard at MacDonald Injury Law. Known as the bright heart of the team, Luxana is kind, dedicated, and always ready to help. From tech support to legal tasks to lifting spirits, she does it all with a smile. Though the most junior, she's the go-to person who keeps everything running—and lifts everyone up along the way. Thank you for embodying the very best qualities of a legal administrative professional!

Beyond our winner, we want to recognize every nominee who was celebrated by their peers. Here are some of the most touching words shared:

  • Mikki is a strong, professional, compassionate paralegal who demonstrates what is possible in this (sometimes) crazy profession. She is dependable and is always willing to lend a hand or ear and deserves recognition for all she brings to our workspace. (Murphy Battista LLP)
  • Ginny has come a long way and she is truly an exceptional LAA. She has shown dedication to work that I have not seen in many years. She has shown an exceptional skills to deal with difficult tasks including managing clients' expectations. She has been truly the backbone of our firm. Ginny has also shown incredible leadership skills, managing clients during my lengthy trials. While working as a LAA, she wrote LSAT and has received acceptance for three schools in Canada. We at Perceptive Law are so proud of Ginny. (Perceptive Law)
  • Somaya is an all-star. Having moved to Canada after relocating from Afghanistan for her own safety, Somaya has excelled at providing top-tier legal support in family law matters. Her dedication to helping clients navigate the complex and stressful family law process is unparalleled. Her drafting and organization skills ensure efficiency for clients and assists in managing lawyers' caseloads. Her ability to communicate clearly in both English and Farsi provides a further unique skill level and access to justice for clients. In my 6 years of practice in family law in BC I have not come across a more talented and dedicated member of a lawyers support team. (MacLean Law)
  • Jessica is calm and collective while being such a fun and outgoing coworker. She is very knowledgeable and never declines to share her knowledge with those who are seeking for answers and new members of the firm. She is our team's go-to person for information. She is kind and helpful to both her colleagues and clients. She is loyal. She is dependable. (Pace Law Firm)

Continue the Celebration!

What was most heartwarming about these submissions was that it was clear that people see each other's efforts. Your coworkers see you, and they are very grateful.

Let's keep this spirit alive beyond Administrative Professionals' Day. Recognizing the contributions of legal administrative professionals should be an ongoing effort. A culture of appreciation fosters motivation, teamwork, and a positive work environment

We're excited to continue this tradition next year!
